Our industrial coating applicators are experienced in the application of intumescent spray applied coatings and cementitious based systems.
These passive fireproofing systems are designed to protect steel work and timber surfaces and contain fire. They are also intended to allow greater opportunities for occupants to safely exit a building and enable emergency fire crews to access & more readily fight a fire.

Intumescent Application
Intumescent coatings are increasingly utilized to offer passive fire protection for load-bearing structures, notably structural steel, which is becoming more and more popular in modern architectural design of both industrial and commercial buildings.
As a means of fire protection, it presents several advantages:
- Works as an insulator
- Enhances the appearance of steel work
- Various types of intumescent paint can be applied to a range of materials, including steel, timber, composite elements and concrete
- Doesn’t alter the intrinsic properties of these materials, such as their mechanical characteristics
- Easily processed
Regular site inspections, primer checks and a hand-over process are carried out during the scheduled works.
The specified system is applied under strict QA procedures in order to achieve the required Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
