About this Project

After investing in a huge COLA (or covered outdoor learning area) the Sunnyhills School Board approved the upgrade of the school courts to finish off the space.

As a Green-Gold enviro school they were looking for a solution that would support their sustainability values and be bright and inviting for both their learners and the community to use. The Mapei TNS extreme system ticked all the boxes.

Topcoat were chosen as the approved and accredited installer. Topcoat’s trained applicators have totally rejuvenated this tired asphalt surface. The surface was chemically cleaned and some repairs completed, followed by the application of the TNS professional system. This multi-layered acrylic resin system was applied over the summer holidays to minimize disruption to the school community. The design incorporates multi coloured top coats, making it bright and fun, and giving clearly defined play areas.

Now used as a multi surface playing area for cricket, basketball general ball play and tennis, the client is extremely happy with the appearance and performance versatility. This court was 15 years old and now looks and wears like new.

From the moment the Topcoat Sales representative and through to the completion of the project the team listened to our requests and were meticulous in their workmanship. We are thrilled with the outcome. It is bright, inviting, the kids and parents love it and we look forward to using it!
