Merivale Carpark Membrane Renewal
About this Project
The Merivale carpark at 158 Leinster Road serves five commercial tenants and their customers every day. Managed by VFL Finance on behalf of Tuscany Limited, the property owners needed the existing carpark membrane fully replaced – without shutting the carpark down entirely.
The worn membrane had reached the end of its serviceable life and required removal before a new system could be applied. Weather conditions during the project period added further complexity, demanding careful scheduling and constant communication with the client.
Topcoat’s team delivered a complete membrane renewal, managing the work in stages to keep parts of the carpark accessible at all times. The scope included:
- Removal of the existing membrane using planetary grinders
- Crack repairs by gravity-feeding resin with Mapei Primer SN
- Full application of the Mapei Carpark System
-
- Primer SN
- Mapei PO 400
- Mapei PU 410
- Mapei Finish 451 (RAL 7035 Grey)
-
- Line marking reinstated using Carboline Road Marking Paint (Yellow)
- 2 × PWD signage panels installed
- 1 × Ambulance signage panel installed
-
The carpark was successfully resurfaced with a durable, weather-resistant Mapei membrane system. Crack repairs were completed using gravity-fed resin, ensuring long-term structural integrity beneath the new surface. All line markings and accessibility signage were reinstated to a high standard, returning the carpark to full operation.
Throughout the project, Topcoat maintained regular communication with the client – keeping them informed of progress and any weather-related delays – resulting in a smooth delivery and a satisfied client.
